Primate Ayodele of INRI Evangelical

Primate Ayodele has said Nigerians should watch out for another mass protest in Nigeria in the fashion of the EndSARS movement over current economic crisis that has led to an increase in prices of essential commodities.

Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele in press statement made available to AllNews Nigeria stated that there would be a nationwide protest if the Buhari-led government don't seat up and look into hike in food prices.

AllNews Nigeria understands since the onset of COVID-19, food prices have heavily sky-rocketed.

President Muhammadu Buhari during his Nigeria At 61 speech said  high prices of food was caused by middlemen who “buy and hoard these essential commodities for profiteering.”

Buhari said, “Unfortunately, as our food production capacity has increased, food prices have been going up due to artificial shortages created by middlemen who have been buying and hoarding these essential commodities for profiteering.”

Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele explained that except the federal government provides a solution to the lingering economic crisis, the protest will be severe as the masses including the youths, women, men, and children will be part of it nationwide.

He noted that the hardship already being experienced will not subside except the government does the needful and it will lead to a serious issue in the country. He urged President Buhari to look into it as soon as possible to avert the impediment.

‘’Nigerians will protest because of the hike in food prices. There will be so much hardship which will cause the government the unexpected. The president must see into food matters otherwise Nigeria will go up in flames as a result of this’’

‘’The price of things will keep increasing. Essential commodities like pepper, palm oil, and gas will keep increasing and these are what the average Nigerian use on a daily basis’’

‘’The government must do something to avert this coming protest, it will involve the youths, old men and women, it will be very serious. The government needs to look into it as soon as possible.’’
