Priyanka Chopra Reveals How She Googled Nick Jonas In 2015

Bollywood megastar Priyanka Chopra has shared details about how she had to google her husband Nick Jonas before she met him.

According to Insider, Chopra who recently released her memoir in which she reveals a lot about her life talked about her initial reaction when Nick Jonas (her current husband) slid into her Twitter DM in 2015, writing the words, "Several people have told me we should meet."

On how she responded to his words, Priyanka Chopra said, "When I received the message, I stared at it for a few moments. Nick Jonas. I knew who he was of course, but I didn't know who he was."

"Naturally, I did what any self-respecting girl would do. I consulted Dr Google and got an in-depth tutorial."

Speaking further, she mentioned that she made up her mind to "at least go on a date with this man" after watching Jonas and Tove Lo's music video for their duet Close.

Chopra said that it was not too long ago that she found out what made Jonas reach out to her in the first place. He had seen the billboards for her ABC show Quantico and after watching the series, had suggested they should meet.

Chopra's Quantico co-star Graham Rogers was their mutual friend and Jonas had texted him, saying, "Priyanka. Is. Wow." The actor had stated that the pair would hit it off.

Since Rogers didn't introduce them, Jonas decided to take the first step and communicated with her online after which they exchanged messages for months before meeting in 2017 at Vanity Fair's Oscar after-party.

When they met, Jonas had got down on one knee and said. "You're real. Where have you been all my life?"

They had continued spending time together and he had proposed on July 19, 2018, a day after her birthday, while they were in Crete, Greece. 

The wedding had taken place months later at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
