Pro-Biafra Group Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Of IPOB Names This Politician As Being Behind Alausa Protesters' Attack

Pro-Biafra Group Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Of IPOB Names This Poli

Biafra political activist and leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu was 'the one who unleashed his thugs on peaceful protesters' on Wednesday and Thursday at Alausa, Ikeja in Lagos State, AllNews reports.

Kanu, who made this allegation in his routine Facebook broadcast on Friday morning also claimed that the former Lagos State governor resorted to assault after 'getting the green light' from Catriona Laing, the British high commissioner to Nigeria.

It would be recalled that Laing met with Tinubu on Wednesday in Lagos.

Although, the British High Commission in Nigeria said the two "had a wide-ranging discussion on key issues of mutual convergence in Nigeria", core details of the meeting were sketchy as at the time of publishing this report.

But self-exiled and controversial Kanu asserted that Laing 'went to Lagos and pleaded with Tinubu to release his thugs on protesters'.

"Do you know that Britain went to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and asked Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release his thugs, to attack protesters?" Kanu said.

"Do you know that Britain, that woman, Catriona Laing, that wicked woman in Abuja. That woman is the daughter of Jezebel.

"She went to Lagos and pleaded with Tinubu, why don't you bring out your thugs [you have presidential ambition in 2023]?

"And Tinubu obliged and brought out his thugs.

"These thugs were attacking and police were standing there doing nothing.

"Why must you go to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ask him to unleash his thugs?

"What is wrong with Britain I ask?

"Very sad, indeed!"

Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB churn out fiction as facts

Decades after the civil war ended in Nigeria, the struggle to keep the dream of a separate Biafra state alive continues, including through a relentless disinformation campaign on social media.

Researchers have found that Radio Biafra and proscribed IPOB supply disinformation.

This latest claim by Kanu on Tinubu could be one.

Attacks On Alausa Protesters

It would be recalled that armed thugs caused chaos in Alausa on Thursday.

A similar incident was recorded on Wednesday.

While many on social media had linked the attacks on MC Oluomo, the boss of the Lagos State Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and Alhaji Taoreed Faronbi, otherwise known as Baba Alado, who is a land developer, both men have come out to clear their name.
