Properties Worth Millions Destroyed In Ibadan Building Colla

Millions of naira worth of properties have been destroyed as a three-storey building collapsed around Adabor Junction, Ashi, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State in the wee hours of Monday.

This recent collapse is coming weeks after an uncompleted five-storey hotel building adjacent to a new generation bank at Awosika in Ibadan North local government area of the state gave way.

Eyewitnesses said the building housed a pharmacy, supermarket and a church.

"No life was lost as security guard in the building who was the only one on ground when the incident occurred is safe and healthy," eyewitnesses narrated.

Residents who disclosed that they thought it was a robbery attack said that they suddenly heard a loud shaking and noise in the midnight and were scared.

Others said the land on which the building was built was formerly a cemetery before it was sold.
