PRP Assures Osun Of Judiciary Reform, Decongesting Of Prison

Olowu Emmanuel, the deputy gubernatorial candidate of the People Redemption Party (PRP) has lamented the high cost of filing cases in Osun state.

Emmanuel said the high cost of case filing in the state has hindered a lot of persons from pursuing their cases to a logical end.

The PRP deputy gubernatorial candidate linked this to one of the reasons for the congestion of our correctional centre as inmates and those awaiting trials are left to their fate.

He said the lack of economic power to pursue matters in a competent court of law due to filing fees for cases has led many families to abandon their loved ones in correctional centres helplessly.PRP Logo

“We shall not abandon those in the correctional and we shall not leave the Federal Government with the task, the rehabilitation of the life of all in the centres will be paramount to us.

"We have therefore resolved that on our sworn into office we shall reduce all costs of filing fees in all our Courts ranging from Osun Rent Tribunal, Customary, Magistrate, and High Courts.

“This will mark our first step towards dis-congestion of our correctional centres and grant our citizens the ample opportunity to seek redress of any forms of violation with little cost implication as the court remain the last hope of the common man.

"Our government as identify the causes of criminal activity in the state which we shall address immediately on assumption of office, in a way that all able body men will be engaged and adequately paid

"Under our government, everyone will work hard for the advancement of him or herself and that of the state.

“A vote for Engr. Busuyi Ayowole of the PRP come 16th of July 2022 is a Vote for a violence-free society," Emmanuel said.
