Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Galtier has given his thoughts on the recent elimination of his team from the Coupe de France at the round of 16 stage against Marseille on Wednesday.
In the match, Marseille secured a win against PSG with goals from Alexis Sanchez and Ruslan Malinovskyi, while PSG's Sergio Ramos scored for the team.
Galtier stated that PSG was unlucky in the game and faced a quality Marseille goalkeeper.
The coach explained that his players had difficulty in putting moves together during the match, particularly in the second half after conceding their second goal. Marseille switched to a low block, playing on the transition and had a large number of players in defense, making it challenging for PSG to create moves.
He said, "Even though we conceded a goal from a penalty and they had chances, we also had some in the first half but were occasionally unlucky or came up against a quality 'keeper. One way or another, we managed to equalize.
Then, in the second half, as soon as we conceded their second goal, Marseille switched to a low block and played on the transition, and at that point, given the number of bodies that Marseille had in defense, we really struggled to put moves together."
