PSG Stun Holders, Bayern At Home With Mbappe's Brace

French striker, Kylian Mbappe scored a brace as Paris Saint-Germain defeated holders Bayern Munich 3-2 in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Wednesday as revenge for the 2020 defeat.

Mbappe and Marquinhos gave PSG a two-goal lead in snowy conditions at the Allianz Arena but Bayern drew level with headers from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Mueller.

Neymar also showed his importance to the French side with two beautiful assists which paved the German defensive walls.

A second goal of the game from Mbappe on 68 minutes put PSG back on top heading into next Tuesday's return leg at the Parc des Princes.

PSG raided another European fortress, Allianz Arena on Wednesday to beat Bundesliga champions -- the second fortress in their current campaign after defeating Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Pochettino's men will now turn their attention to their domestic league as they trail Lille with 3 points.

Mbappe appeared to be limping after the match which will give the manager some scare as he could miss the next match both in France and Europe.

Another worry for the former Tottenham manager is the knock for Marquinhos who was subbed off for Andre Herrera in the first half given the importance of the Brazilian to the Parisians.
