PSG Through To UCL Final For The First Time In Club's Histor

Paris Saint Germain has, for the first time in the history of the club, qualified for the UEFA Champions League final after defeating Leipzig 3-0 in the semifinal of 2019-20 season of the European tournament in Lisbon, Portugal.

The game started off with PSG firing from all cylinders and within 10 mins already had 2 attempts on goal - something they might have to work on in the final, should they face Bayern Munich, as they need to be more clinical in front of goal to seal off the match against tougher opponents.

 

The first goal was scored by Marquinhos from a free-kick which was sent into by Di Maria and the Brazil international headed it in for the French side. making it 1-0 on the night.

The second goal was an error by the German side which saw Di Maria one-on-one with the goalkeeper, the left-footed Argentine slotted it in to make it 2-0. The first half ended with numerous chances lost by PSG and looks like it might have consequences.

The second half started with all activities in the PSG box, for almost 20 minutes of the second half, Leipzig kept poking the French side in search of a goal that never came.

The third goal sealed the match, PSG picked a loose ball form the falling Leipzig defender falling very close to the corner kick area, Di Maria again with the assist sent in a ball which Juan Bernat heads in, Neymar guided the ball to make sure it went into the net to make it 3-0. The deal is done.

Mbappe saw another chance to make it 4-0 but he couldn't covert it with the Goalkeeper rushing out to keep him from going for the lob.

Now, PSG might face Lyon or Bayern Munich in the final with the fixture schedule for 19th August 2020 in Lisbon.
