Qaseem Soleimani's Remains To Be Buried On Tuesday

Qaseem Soleimani, the top Iranian commander killed by a US air strike will be buried on Tuesday, in his hometown of Kerman, this is according to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In Baghdad, a huge number of people are participating in an organized funeral procession for the fallen commander.

BBC reports that the crowd's gathering in the Iran's capital, Baghdad marks the beginning of days of mourning for Qaseem.

A three-day mourning for Qaeem, who was 62 at the time of his death, has been declared in Iran, with various reactions trailing the news of the commander's death.

Some Iraqi's, after the news of Soleimani's death broke in the news, took to the streets to jubilate, saying that he was a force against a peaceful pro-democracy protest that was staged in the country; while the opposite reaction was observed in Iraq's sister country, Iran, where Iranians came out in numbers to protest his death

According to the website of the Revolutionary Guard corps, it said that a ceremony will take place in Tehran on Monday, and that the corpse of  “this soldier of the people and the nation will be buried in Kerman on Tuesday morning”.

A vigil will be held by some students at the Tehran University on Saturday before heading on to the Mehrabad airport in Tehran to receive his corpse.
