Rahama Sadau Reacts To Backlashes Received Over Backless Gown

Hours after she was bashed on social media for wearing a backless gown, Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau says critics should create gaps between one’s way of life and respect their faiths.

AllNews earlier reported that Sadau had shared a picture of hers, wearing a long pink gown that exposes her back, from her neck to the upper waist.

This did not sit well with the Arewa users who condemned her for "promoting indecent dressing" which is haram in Islam.

However, reacting to criticisms, the young actress, in a series of tweets said she was dissociating herself from the derogatory remarks while noting that she detests embracing advice in the social media community.

She also expressed her appreciation to people who felt offended and reached out to her, just as she described their concerns as an expression of true love.

"I'm with all sense of sincerity, dissociating myself from such derogatory & hurtful words. To everyone who knows me or follows me, should know I’m not d type that reacts to anything or embrace advices from social media moral police. But my Prophet & religion is where I draw d line,'' she added.

"Any disrespect to my religion and Prophet regarding those pictures remain condemned and reprobated, not in any way & not on any event. The perpetrators should learn to separate people’s way of life and respect for their faiths. Folded hands✌?"
