Kano State Deputy Governor and APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna has congratulated Muslims in Kano and the entire country on the commencement of another Ramadan Fast.
Gawuna, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Musa Fagge on Thursday said the month is packed with spiritual lessons every Muslim should work hard to gain from.
"As we commence the Ramadan fast, it is my prayer that we imbibe the Holy Month's spiritual lessons and the Prophet Muhammad's (Peace Be Upon Him) teachings of piety, love, equity, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and dedication."
"The Islamic Holy Month of Ramadan offered an opportunity to Muslims to rededicate themselves to the worship of Allah (S.W.T)"
"We should endeavour to make use of this month by strengthening our commitment to the service of Almighty Allah".
"I pray to Allah to accept our prayers in this blessed month and reward us abundantly," he said.
He also urge Muslim faithfuls and other Nigerians to use the opportunity of the Holy Month of Ramadan to intensify prayers for the continued peace,development and stability of Kano and Nigeria.
