    Basildon Crown Court in the United Kingdom has sentenced a Nigerian rapper, Olawale Hassan aka Goldie 1 to jail for raping a woman.

    Goldie was said to have made advances to the woman who he met in February 2017, on a night out in Southend.

    According to the report, Goldie 1 promised to get her home safely, but he drove her to a car park where he raped her, refusing her request for him to stop.

    The 34-year-old rapper was found guilty of three counts of rape and one of sexual assault, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

    He was sentenced to jail for 10 years and two months.
