Rape: Pastor Adeboye Reveals Efforts At Combating Menace

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed that he is praying rape would just all stop, AllNews reports. 

Adeboye made this known on Sunday during a live programme on DOVE TV, which was monitored by this AllNews reporter.

“Myself and prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of this evil are brought to justice, not only in Nigeria but all over the world," the respected cleric said.

“Everyone who has ever committed rape, particularly in Nigeria and the world, the all-knowing God will fish them.

“Anyone, who ever thinks of raping someone again, the almighty God will stop them even before they do so and if they insist God will take them away.

“I am calling on every Christian all over the world to please join me in this prayer,” he said.

It would be recalled that not quite long, Uwavera Omozuwa, a 22-year-old university student was allegedly raped and murdered in a RCCG church in Edo state.

Days later, an 18-year-old girl identified as Barakat was as well reportedly raped and murdered close to her father’s house at Akinyele Local Government Area in Ibadan, Oyo State.

There have been a series of other high-profile rape cases which has sparked outrage in Nigeria.
