US rapper Tory Lanez's bail has been increased for violating Megan Thee Stallion's protective order after he appeared on the Rolling Loud stage in Miami last month shortly after her performance.
Tory Lanez was issued a protective order after being arrested and charged with felony assault in July 2020 for allegedly shooting fellow hip hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the leg.
At the time, a judge ordered Lanez not to make contact with Megan or come within 100 yards of her. Lanez was instructed to pay additional bail during his court appearance claiming that he violated the protective order during his appearance at DaBaby's Rolling Loud Miami set. His bail was raised from $190,000 to $250,000.

Prosecutors filed a motion earlier this month asking the judge to either increase or revoke his bail because he was allegedly within 100 yards of Megan when he made a surprise appearance during DaBaby's controversial set.
Lanez is also barred from attending any events where the Houston rapper will be in attendance. He will be remanded into custody if he violates the terms of his probation, according to the judge.

“You’re facing years in prison, over 22 years in prison," Judge Keith Borjon told Lanez in court on Tuesday. “They could have filed an additional charge based on violating the protective order because that's a violation of law as well.
"You do not want to be doing things like this sir. You have the means and the where with all and a lot of smart people around you to advise you as to how you should be conducting your life so we don't have to have hearings like this.”
