Rashford Speaks On Liverpool Rout At Anfield

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has broken his silence following the thrashing of his club by Liverpool.

United conceded seven goals in Sunday's league fixture at Anfield as Liverpool continued their impressive recovery run to push for a top-four finish.

Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah shared six goals before Roberto Firmino rounded off the scoring to inflict on United their biggest-ever Premier League defeat.

Taking to Twitter, Rashford expressed his dissatisfaction over his team's poor showing against the Reds.

He however charged his teammates to put the humiliating defeat behind them so that they can focus on the games ahead.

The England international tweeted: "I wish we could play a game today to try and put things right. 

"The result is the result, and we can’t see past that!

"We must not let it define our season. 

"We have to trust the process and stick together."

United will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways in the first leg of their last-16 Europa League fixture against Spanish outfit Real Betis on Thursday.
