Rashford, Three Other Strikers Could Fit In Same Man Utd Team - Solskjaer

Rashford, Three Other Strikers Could Fit In Same Man Utd Tea

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is optimistic that Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Martial could all fit into the same team.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup fourth-round encounter with Liverpool, Solskjaer outlined his view that United could field a side with four of their most potent attackers, in Greenwood, Rashford, Martial and Cavani.

“I used to play in a decent team and the gaffer had four centre-forwards at least to choose from and with the four frontmen we’ve got, we have players to choose from who can get us goals in any game, against any opposition,” Solskjaer told reporters via video chat.

“I’m very pleased with the ones I’ve got and we’re working hard to get the relationships with all of them so we can use them in different ways and sometimes maybe all four of them will play.”

He added of the forwards at his disposal: “I’m very happy with my forwards.

“You’ve got talents like Mason and Marcus and Anthony and the experience of Edinson. It’s great to see them every day in training and in the games they complement each other.

“They’ve all got different attributes. We know this season Marcus has scored about 14, 15 goals and Anthony, Mason and Edi will definitely chip in and score goals.

“Last season, Anthony, Marcus and Mason scored I don’t know how many – 60ish – so we’ve got a front three or four, well those three for many, many years, and Edi can help with his experience for the time that he’s here.”

United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford for a mouthwatering cup tie on Sunday.

For the second time in a week, the two most successful teams in English football will go head-to-head.

The last time the two sides met, it ended in a 0-0 stalemate at Anfield in the Premier League.
