Raymond Dokpesi: His Exit Is Devastating — David Mark

Former Senate President David Mark has described the death of the Founder of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower FM, Raymond Dokpesi as devastating.

Dokpesi was reported to have died during his exercise on Monday.

According to Senator Mark, the death of the DAAR Communications Chairman marks the loss of a political gait who worked for the unity of the people of the country.

In a statement by the former Senate President through his Media Adviser, Paul Mumeh, Mark noted late Dokpesi's contribution to the enthronement of democracy, maintaining that the vacuum created by his death would be hard to fill.

"Dokpesi was the Visionary leader who pioneered the emergence of private broadcasting in Nigeria with AIT television and Ray Power Fm radio.

"He was Unarguably a trailblazer. He was a jinx breaker. He was a very courageous man.  He was a goal-getter who has no room for excuses.

"His exit at this time is devastating.  He was so passionate about the development of Nigeria. We shall miss his robust and positive contributions to the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria.

"The media industry and indeed the nation has lost a visionary leader, and the void left by his death will be felt by many.

“I pray that his legacy and contributions continue to inspire and influence the media industry for years to come.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family, friends, and colleagues as they mourn the loss of this great man,” the statement read.
