Former Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemate Maria Chike Benjamin has joyously welcomed her first child, a baby boy with her boyfriend Kelvin Anene.
The reality TV star shared the heartwarming news on her Instagram page, announcing the arrival of her newborn son, whom she named Leonardo AmaraNna Anene. Baby Leonardo was born on October 1.
In her Instagram post, the 31-year-old expressed her deep gratitude to God for her precious child, declaring that she has discovered a newfound light within herself that had eluded her for years.
She penned a heartfelt message, saying, “Leonardo AmaraNna Anene 01/10/2023. I just want to say Thank you, God.
“My heart is so full and grateful. I have found the light in me that I could not find all these years. Thank you for choosing us as your parents.”
Maria initially revealed her pregnancy in June through a touching documentary shared on her social media platforms.
The emotional footage captured Maria proudly showcasing her baby bump while delivering a heartfelt message to her unborn child.
Her relationship with Kelvin Anene has been the subject of intense scrutiny and controversy.
In 2021, Cubana Chief Priest, a prominent socialite, accused Maria of taking Anene away from his sister. However, Maria vehemently refuted these claims.
In May, the former BBNaija star clarified that she was unaware of Anene’s marital status when they first began dating, shedding light on the complexities of their relationship.
