Recruitment Advertisement Is Untrue — UNIOSUN Management

The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has revealed that is is untrue that it is recruiting into academic and non-academic positions.

This is as the university disowned a viral advertisement circulating on social media claiming to be vacancies for both academic and non academic staff vacancies in the institution and also warned unsuspecting members of the public disregard such messages.

The university issued the warning in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji on Sunday.

The statement maintained that the University's advertisements are not placed on social media but placed in the national dailies.

While noting that the advertisement is either a fake or old one that should be ignored by he general public, Adesoji added that the signatory to the purported advertisement, Dr J. A. Faniran had ceased to be the Registrar of the university.

“The attention of the Management of Osun State University has been drawn to the message circulating in various social media platforms that the University is embarking on massive job recruitment into the academic and non academic positions.

“We hereby state categorically that the signatory to the advertisement, Dr J.A. Faniran is not the current Registrar of the University which means the advertisement is likely to be an old advertisement or fake which should be discarded and ignored by the general public, especially job seekers.

“The fraudulent advertisement is just another means to defraud the unsuspecting public.

"Furthermore, it presupposes that whoever brings such old advertisement back to circulation has a motive of misleading and misinforming the public for his/her selfish interests.

“To this end, the management of Osun State University wishes to reiterate that there is currently no massive recruitment into the University.

"The advertisement is Fake in its entirety and should be ignored by the general public,” Adesoji added.
