Reekado Banks has released the official music video for the remix of his hit song 'Ozumba Mbadiwe' featuring YBNL act Fireboy DML.
The music video was directed by TG Omori and has garnered over 140k views on YouTube.
The original song 'Ozumba Mbadiwe' was Reekado Banks' comeback after staying away from the music scene for a while.
Released in October 2021, Reekado Banks offers his contribution to the 2020 EndSARS protest, dedicating the track as a way of honoring the one-year memorial of the #Lekki Tollgate Shooting.
Speaking with City FM's Melody Hassan, Reekado Banks revealed that it took him a year to finish and release 'Ozumba Mbadiwe'.
When asked why he chose the title "Ozumba Mbadiwe", the singer stated that it was a reply to a lot of people who had been asking where he was.
According to him, he had been "busy" just like the Ozumba Mbadiwe way, located in Victoria Island, Lagos.
