Nigerian singer and rapper Rema has revealed that he is a strong believer in being an introvert.
In a recent interview with i_D, the musician explained that he values his alone time as it allows him to create and recharge.
“I’m big on being an introvert,” Rema said. “I just lock in, and I just stay in my own world, just create, just think.
“I’ve come to accept the life I’ve chosen to live, and I know it comes with sacrifices.”
The 21-year-old artist went on to explain that while some people may find socializing to be a necessary part of their lives, he values his alone time as it helps him to heal and recharge.
“Some people will say ‘oh, my social battery is done’,” he said. “But alone time helps me.
“When I just glide through nothingness. You know, I’m just in a wild space just healing, just recharging.”
