Nigerian singer Rema revealed that he felt really amazed when Canadian superstar Drake reached out to him.
Recounting how that happened, he said he was in Nigeria during the 2020 lockdown period when Drake sent him a DM.
According to Rema, he didn't believe that it was really Drake reaching out to him.
“One morning I just woke up and I was like, this has to be a fake account, my friends were like 'Look, it has the blue tick' and I was like 'Okay use your phone, check it'.
“I held my friend's phone, I held my phone.
"I was looking at the two accounts and I was like it's the real account,” Rema said.
Rema said Drake thanked him for his contribution towards Afrobeats and for turning in a verse.
