Rema Reacts As ‘Calm Down’ Remix Achieves New Billboard

Rema

Rema is feeling extremely excited and grateful after achieving his first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his song ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez.

In a post on his social media pages, Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, expressed how hard he worked to get to this point and thanked God for his success.

He also expressed gratitude to those who believed in him and gave a shout-out to Selena Gomez.

“Trying to hold in the tears, I know how hard I worked to get my sound here, I’m grateful to God for how far I’ve come.

“Love to the ones who believed & love to the Queen Selena Gomez,” he tweeted.

Originally released on February 11, 2022, ‘Calm Down’ is the second single from Rema’s debut studio album ‘Rave & Roses’, which reached No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.

The remix featuring Gomez was released on August 25, 2022, and went on to top the Global Excl. U.S. and U.S. Afrobeats Songs charts.

It has now spent 29 weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, the longest run since its launch in March 2022 by Billboard and Afro Nation.
