Rema and D'Prince
Nigerian superstar Divine Ikubor a.k.a. Rema has credited singer and Jonzing World record label boss D’Prince for being instrumental in his success.
Via his Instagram page on Sunday night, the ‘Calm Down’ singer shared a photo with D’Prince, both of them holding award plaques of Rema’s songs.
In the caption, Rema said that there will be no him without the Jonzing World boss.
“Without D’prince they’ll be no me. @dprincemavin @thejonzingworld,” he captioned the post.
Rema started his music career in churches with Alpha P.
In 2018, Rema posted a viral freestyle on Instagram to D’Prince's track ‘Gucci Gang’ which featured Davido and Don Jazzy.
The post caught the attention of D’Prince who flew him to Lagos to offer a record deal to the young talent.
Rema signed a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records owned by record producer Don Jazzy in 2019.
