Daniel Ogunmodede has said that the outcome of the match between Enyimba and Remo Stars was not what he expected.
The gaffer of the Sky Blue Stars hoped for victory but had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Aba last weekend.
It was the visitors who took the lead through Philip Odubia in the 43rd minute but Chijioke Mbaoma equalised for Enyimba with the last kick of the game.
“We tried our best and we hoped for victory before the game but we took this point as it came and hope to bounce back with a good display in our next game,” Ogunmodede told DAILY POST.
“We are improving game by game and it is important for the players not to relent at this crucial point of the season,” he added.
The result means that Remo Stars have dropped to fifth position on the table.
