Revelation Cup: Waldrum Invites Oshoala, 22 Others For Tourn

Head coach of Nigeria's female national team, Randy Waldrum has extended an invitation to 23 players of Nigeria's Super Falcons for next month's Revelation Cup in Mexico.

Among the players picked by Waldrum are Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala, Captain Onome Ebi and long-time number one goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

The Falcons are to compete against hosts Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia in the tourney as part of the team's preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup to be co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.  

Mexico Football Federation explained on Wednesday that the competition will hold from February 15 to 22 and will be in a round-robin format whereby the team with the most points will emerge as the winner.

The Super Falcons' first game in the tournament will be against Colombia on February 15.

The nine-time African champions will face Mexico next on February 18 before their clash against Costa Rica on February 21.

Below is the list of invited players that will depart the country’s shores on Saturday, February 11.

Midfielders:
