#RevolutionNow: Joint Team Of Soldiers And Policemen Arrest

Over 40 Revolution Now protesters have been arrested by a joint team of soldiers and policemen in Abuja.

AllNews gathered that the protesters were arrested on Wednesday around the Unity Fountain and thrown into at least six trucks that whisked them away to an unknown destination.

A convoy of over 50 vehicles loaded with heavily-armed security personnel was seen patrolling the Unity Fountain and Transcorp Junction areas of Abuja.

AllNews recalls that the Coalition for Revolution Now was launched on August 5, 2019, by a former presidential candidate and news publisher, Omoleye Sowore, with a nationwide campaign demanding better governance from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Federal Government responded by arresting Sowore and accusing him of trying to topple the government of President Buhari.

To mark the one year anniversary of the #RevolutionNow Movement, it decided to relaunch the campaign with a massive demonstration of the collective anger and deprivation of Nigerian people on Wednesday.

In another report, Olawale Bakare, Osun State Convener of Revolution Now has also been re-arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Osogbo.
