Ritualists Make Shocking Confession After Arrest

Luck recently ran out for seven members of a serial ritual killer syndicate as they were apprehended in different parts of Abeokuta, Ogun State by personnel of the state police command.

The suspects who were identified as 38 year old Lekan Oladipupo, 30 year old Sulaiman Aremu, 24 year old Ifayemi Badru, 38 year old Shittu Saheed, 35 year old Samod Sulaiman, 23 year old Akanji Moruf and 36 year old Tajudeen Adekunle.

According to reports, they were arrested following a report lodged at Bode Olude Divisional Police Headquarters by an informant, Abraham Okosun.

It was gathered that Abraham had visited his brother Sunday Okosun at Agbara village via Mawuko Abeokuta, only to discover that his brother had been brutally murdered by unknown persons and his remains had been dismembered.

The police which was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Durojaye Rotimi, upon the report swang into action via intelligence-based investigation to unravel those behind the dastardly act.

Acting on credible information, the detectives traced and apprehended Lekan Oladipupo, who on interrogation confessed to being the actual person who shot and killed the deceased with his dane gun.

It was learnt that his confession led to the arrest of the other six suspects.

On interrogation, each of the suspects narrated their respective roles in the gruesome murder of the deceased and others who have been killed in similar circumstances.

Lekan Oladipupo informed the police that his own role is to look for their victim especially in the bush and shoot the person to death.

Oladipo stated that Sulaiman Aremu is his contact person, who will butcher the corpse of the victim and remove vital parts to be distributed to their standby customers.

The customers, they said are Ifayemi Badru, Shittu Saheed, Akanji Moruf and Tajudeen Adekunle.

They also informed the police that they have different code names for each human part such as the human head as a ball, the heart as a transformer, and the hands, codenamed as fans.

The gun and cutlass they used for the dastardly act have also been recovered.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi and described the incident as the height of man's inhumanity to man.

Oyeyemi stated that the Ogun Police Commissioner, Lanre Bankole has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department, for discreet investigation with the view to charging them to court as soon as possible.
