Road Traffic Accident Claims Two On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Two persons were burnt beyond recognition as a result of a fatal road accident which occurred on Thursday at CDK axis, inbound Ibadan, of Lagos/Ibadan Expressway. 

According to information made available by the Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the accident involved three trucks and a patrol motorbike belonging to TRACE, Ogere Divisional Command.

The trucks according to the information were, a tanker with no registration number, a broken down MAN Diesel truck with no registration number, a DAF truck parked at the roadside and a patrol bike belonging to TRACE Ogere Divisional Command patrol.

It was gathered from police officers at the scene that the probable cause of the accident  was dangerous driving on the path of the petrol laden tanker which rammed into the stationary faulty truck parked at the roadside.

The two deceased victims of the accident were taken away by FRSC officials to a private hospital morgue in Sagamu.
