Pandemonium broke out on Thursday morning as daredevil robbers attacked a bullion van around the Idi-Ape area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Unconfirmed sources said two policemen fell to the bullets of the robbers who shot sporadically while carrying out the operation.
It has not been confirmed if the gunmen successful hijacked the bullion van.
Other sources, however, disclosed that the bullion van attacked was coming from one of the new generation banks located around Testing ground.
As of the time of filing this report, efforts to confirm the incident from the Police proved abortive.
In a related development, there is a report of a violent clash in the Gbagi International market, where traders were said to have attacked each other during an election of the new executive.
The situation forced all motorists in the axis to stop as many scampered for safety.
