Cristiano Ronaldo has been named in Portugal's squad by new coach Roberto Martinez for their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.
Martinez on Friday said Ronaldo "is very important for the team" and doesn't "look at the age" despite question marks about the international future of the Al Nassr forward.
He was dropped to the bench at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar for Portugal's knockout fixtures and had to leave the pitch in tears after his side lost to Morocco.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is a very committed player," Martinez told reporters.
"He can bring experience and is a very important figure for the team. I don't look at age."
Portugal will host Liechtenstein on 23 March then go away to Luxembourg three days later.
