Brendan Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers, coach of Premier League side has expressed confidence in the owners of Leicester City to trust him to return club to winning ways.

Leicester sit bottom of the table with just one point from their opening seven games.

It seems they have reached rock-bottom and might fire him after 6-2 thrashing on the last day before the international break at Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Rangers coach was even ready to accept any possibility when he said "whatever happens" during the post match conference.

International break has been a blessing to the North Irishman as he seems he would keep his job.

Just ahead of the resumption of Premier League games, Rodgers expressed his confidence that the owners of the Foxes, “I feel that the ownership trust me to turn this around. I’m the best person to do it”.

“I’m confident”, Rodgers added as he wants to continue as Leicester coach for long time.

He will face Nottingham forest with his foxes on Monday and he will need to win at the King Power Stadium to really convince the owners that he is the man for the job.
