Rodrygo, Rodri, Kimich, Rudiger make allnews.ng's Wednesday

Allnews.ng's Izuchukwu Okosi rounds off the Allnews.ng's team of the quarterfinals stage of the UEFA Champions League after the games on Wednesday night.

Yesterday, we presented the eleven players that impressed the most in Tuesday's games. Below are the latest analysis:

Goalkeeper: Andriy Lunin
Made two penalty saves in the shootout against Manchester City aside from a few in the course of the game, especially off the feet of Kevin de Bruyne.

Defender: Antonio Rudiger
The former Chelsea defender scored the last kick of the shootout on Wednesday night. He had a similar chance to score during the game but showed us why he is only a defender after all.

 Defender: Matthijs de Ligt
Bayern's Dutch center back makes up the central defensive partnership for this team. He was assured at the back and left no one in doubt about his capabilities.

Defender: Joshua Kimich
Joshua Kimich played in an unnatural right-back position due to injuries to key players and suspensions. The diminutive Bayern star came up with the only goal of the match against Arsenal.  Kimich made two tackles, one interception and two clearances.

Midfielder: Leon Goretzka
The midfielder maestro made two key passes and two interceptions against Arsenal. He had 44 touches of the ball and made seven clearances. His performance against the Gunners was majestic.

Midfielder: Rodri
Rodri may have ended up on the losing side after the penalty shootout, but in 90 minutes, he was superb and helped keep the attacking Real Madrid players at bay.

Rodri made five key passes- which is 91% accurate- had one of his two shots on target, and had 171 touches of the ball

Midfielder: Rafael Guerrero
Preferred the ageless Thomas Muller on the left side of the midfield to negate Arsenal's attacking threats from the right side where Bukayo Saka operates. Did his job superbly as the Gunners rarely found joy in troubling the Germans. Provided the assist for Bayern's goal.

Midfielder: Jude Bellingham
The England international is deployed as the most advanced midfielder in Allnews.ng's team of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League of the quarterfinals.

Bellingham made five total tackles, one interception and three clearances. He made a total of 33 successful passes and delivered two crosses into the opposition box.

Attacker: Kevin de Bruyne
The Belgian equalised for Manchester City in the second half and was presented with a few more chances but didnt quite put them away.

Attacker: Vinicius jnr
Not the best game in Real Madrid jersey but he was constantly harrying the Man City defence with his energy and pace.

Attacker: Rodrygo
The Brazil international scored Real Madrid's goal in the 90 minutes of regulation time. After the first half though, his performance wasn't as high as it was in the first 45 minutes. But overall, good display.
