Tammy Abraham Signs For AS Roma
AS Roma have announced the official signing of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham for €40M in a permanent move from Stamford Bridge to Rome for the English striker.
According to reports, the payment would be in instalments with an add-on of up to €5M based on performance.
Also included in the deal is a €4/5m salary net per season with Chelsea having a buy-back clause valid from June 2023 for €80m.
He pens a 5-year deal with the Qatar Airways outfit and would join the squad ahead of the start of Serie A.
Tammy Abraham will wear the No. 9 previously worn by Dzeko before he moved to Inter Milan.
“You can sense when a club really wants you – and Roma made their interest clear immediately,” said Abraham.
“Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies. I’ve had the experience of winning major trophies and I want to be in those competitions again – so I want to help this team to achieve that and get to the level where Roma should be.
“It’s a massive honour to be the No. 9 at this club and I just can’t wait to get started and to help the team.”
