Romelu Lukaku scores, sees red in AS Roma 1-1 draw with Fior

AS Roma

AS Roma star Romelu Lukaku was among the goals when his side welcomed fellow Serie A outfit Fiorentina at home on Sunday.

The home side took an early lead in the 5th minute to make it 1-0 thanks to a brilliant headed goal from former Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku's goal for AS Roma was assisted by Argentine superstar Paulo Dybala who turned provider with a decent cross from the right wings.

It ended 1-0 in the favour of AS Roma at the break. However, more drama ensued as Roma's Nicola Zalewski was sent off for a second yellow in the 64th minute.

He was initially booked in the 41st minute alongside Bryan Cristante in the 37th minute. But it wasn't long as Fiorentina equalized in the 66th minute.

The goal came following good works from Ivory Coast striker Christian Kouame who whipped in a cross that Lucas Martinez headed home to level things at 1-1.

More drama continued as Romelu Lukaku was sent off following a nasty challenge on Fiorentina's Michael Kouame.

He was sent off in the 87th minute. At the same time, Fiorentina's Nikola Milenkovic was shown a red card in the match's dying minutes (90+8).
