Ronaldo Inspires Comeback Win For Al-Nassr To Claim Arab Clu

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace to inspire a comeback win for Al Nassr to claim the Arab Club Champions Cup on Saturday.

Al Nassr beat Saudi rivals Al-Hilal 2-1 after extra time despite playing with just nine men for more than an hour in the final at the King Fahd Stadium.

Brazil midfielder Michael opened the scoring for Al-Hilal with a diving header six minutes into the second-half before imitating Ronaldo's famous 'SIU' goal celebration.

But the 38-year-old Portuguese later responded as he smashed home in the 74th minute to level proceedings and send the game into extra-time.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner then put Al Nassr in the lead after heading home from a rebound in the 98th minute.

He however picked up an injury in the second half of extra-time and had to leave the field on a medical buggy.

Still, Al Nassr rode out the storm with nine players to win their first trophy since 2020.

The feat left the five-time Ballon d'Or winner overwhelmed with excitement as he rushed back onto the field to celebrate with his teammates.

The cup becomes Ronaldo's first trophy since he lifted the Coppa Italia with Juventus in May 2021.
