Cristiano Ronaldo

In a disappointing turn of events, Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr club failed to secure a crucial victory against Al-Khaleej in their latest Saudi Pro League fixture.

Despite being heavy favourites, Al-Nassr were held to a 1-1 draw at home, effectively diminishing their chances of winning the league title at the first attempt.

The visitors, who are currently fighting to avoid relegation, took an early lead through Fabio Martins, putting Al-Nassr on the back foot. However, Alvaro Gonzalez managed to restore parity soon after, salvaging a point for the home team.

Ronaldo thought he had given his team the lead in the second half, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside. The decision proved to be a crucial moment in the game, as Al-Nassr struggled to find the winning goal despite their dominance.

To add insult to injury, league leaders Ittihad secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Abha, extending their lead at the top of the table to five points over Al-Nassr with just four games remaining.

After the final whistle, Ronaldo was surrounded by Al-Khaleej players looking to secure his shirt, but the Portuguese striker's frustration boiled over when a member of the opposition staff attempted to take a selfie with him, resulting in an angry shove. Al-Nassr's hopes of winning the league title may be fading, but Ronaldo's competitive fire remains as strong as ever.
