Rudi Garcia
Cristiano Ronaldo's Saudi club, Al-Nassr, has parted ways with coach Rudi Garcia just days before a crucial match against champions Al-Hilal.
Garcia, the former AS Roma and Olympique de Marseille coach, had been in charge for less than a year before being fired due to reported dressing-room tensions and dissatisfaction with his style of play.
Al-Nassr's recent results have been disappointing, with a 0-0 draw against lowly Al Feiha being the latest setback in their pursuit of a league title.
Garcia's criticism of the players after the match, stating that he was not satisfied with their performance, reportedly strained his relationship with the squad and led to his dismissal.
Al-Nassr, who made headlines by signing Cristiano Ronaldo in a deal worth over $200 million, has slipped to second place in the league table, three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad with only seven games remaining in the season.
The team has also struggled against their closest rivals, including Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, and Al-Shabab, having not registered a victory against them in the league this season.
