Rooney Reveals Desire To Coach Manchester United

Derby County manager, Wayne Rooney has revealed that he started a career in management so he can coach Manchester United one day.

Man Utd are currently looking for a permanent replacement for Ralf Rangnick whose contract will be up by June.

Rooney could be the ideal replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as he was not just a club legend but also understand the intricacy of the club.

United could be following the path of Barcelona with the appointment of Xavi Hernandez after the dismissal of Ronald Koman and has been very good for the club.

Rooney is also favoured at Everton over misfiring Lampard, He, however, turned down the chance to interview for the Everton job after Rafa Benitez was sacked.

According to the UK Sun, Rooney said: “The whole reason in me going into management is Manchester United.

"I got offered the job interview for the Everton job.

“I want to be Manchester United manager.

"I know I am not ready now but I have to plan everything I do to make sure one day it will happen.”

A delay in the appointment of Ajax coach Erik Ten Hag could also indicate Manchester United may be considering bringing in Rooney.
