Arsenal duo Mikel Arteta and Bukayo Saka have been named the Barclays Manager and EA Sports Player of the Month after guiding Arsenal to a perfect March in the Premier League.
The Spanish coach's influence was evident as the Gunners stretched their lead at the top of the league to eight points above Manchester City, scoring an incredible 14 goals in four matches against Everton, AFC Bournemouth, Fulham, and Crystal Palace.
Arteta's impact on the incredible 3-2 turnaround win over AFC Bournemouth was particularly impressive, bringing on Reiss Nelson to set up the equaliser before scoring the winner.
This marks Arteta's fourth Manager of the Month award this season, putting him just one behind Jurgen Klopp's record of five in a single campaign, set in 2019/20.
Saka scored three goals for Arteta's side, including in the 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, making him the youngest player in Arsenal history to reach double figures for both goals and assists in a PL season, beating Cesc Fabregas's record.
Saka topped a six-man shortlist that included Alexander Isak, Alexis Mac Allister, Tyrone Mings, Mohamed Salah, and fellow Arsenal team-mate Leandro Trossard.
The awards are a testament to the incredible form of both Arteta and Saka in March and highlight Arsenal's potential as a serious contender in the Premier League this season.
