Sallah: FRSC Warns Motorists On Traffic Regulations, Threate

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has sent a stern warning to motorists on traffic regulations ahead of the Eid-El Fitr celebration.

The warning came in a statement signed by the spokesman of the Jigawa State FRSC Command, Ibrahim Gambo, and made available to newsmen.

Gambo stated that the command is working to make sure that there is a free flow of traffic on all the roads within the state and to ensure the safety of lives and property during the upcoming Eid-El Fitr celebrations.

He disclosed that the state Sector Commandant, Ahmed Mohammed, has ordered the deployment of all personnel and logistics for patrol, surveillance, and traffic control from April 29 to May 4, 2022.

"We are going to deploy 345 personnel, comprising Officers, Marshals, and 45 Special Marshals, 8 patrol vehicles, as well as 3 live supporting ambulances across the State to ensure hitch-free celebration”, he said.

Gambo made an appeal to motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations as they gear up for the festive season, adding that the FRSC will work with other security operatives and the judiciary to prosecute underage and reckless drivers.
