Sammie Okposo married his wife, Ozioma Sammie Okposo, on July 1, 2010, after dating her for around three years.

He described his wife as understanding and patient.

Sammie Okposo had previous relationships with other women before marrying Ozioma Sammie Okposo. They had not intended to have children in order to grow their family.

African Doll, a US-based woman claimed that she was impregnated by the gospel singer early this year.

Career

He began working as a sound track producer in the Nigerian film business in 1992.

Scandal 

Sammie Okposo openly apologized to his wife, Ozioma, for cheating on January 24, 2022, via his Instagram profile.

This apology comes in response to an accusation made against him by a woman known as African Doll, who claimed that Sammie Okposo impregnated and abandoned her.

For all of his admirers, it was surprise that he did not refute the charges, and that he came out publicly to apologize to his wife.

Some thought it would have been better for him to remain silent, but others praised him for his ability to recognize his mistake.

However, in the midst of the crisis, Sammie Okposo informed his admirers that he would be taking a vacation from his ministry to work on rehabilitation and forgiveness.

The singer erased his social media accounts, only to reactivate them a few days later.

 

Cause of death

The manager of the 51-year-old artist confirmed his death.

Despite the manager's refusal to speak further on the matter, unconfirmed sources said that the singer slumped and died before arriving at the hospital, implying that the cause of death was a heart condition.

Several social media sites have claimed that Sammie Okposo has been hypertensive for some time, with rumours circulating of him reminiscing about nearly dying on his journey back to Lagos from London a few weeks ago.
