Samsung has already removed Galaxy J3 Pop, Galaxy A5 2017, Galaxy A3 2017, and Galaxy A7 from the security bulletin list. This means that these smartphones are not eligible to receive any update from Samsung.

The Galaxy S8is powered by Exynos 8895 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The smartphone features a 5.80-inch display, rocks a 12MP rear camera, and a 10MP selfie camera.
Samsung had earlier announced that it is testing out the upcycling software via the SmartThings Lab features in its old Galaxy phones as baby monitors or light detectors with the help of repurposed sensors, improved AI, and battery optimization.

Users of Samsung Galaxy S8 can either upcycle the phone or/and switch to other newer Samsung flagship phones. Alternatively, flash custom ROMs on their smartphones, and that will solve the update problem.
