Korean smartphone maker, Samsung, on Tuesday unveiled its new folding Smartphone Galaxy Z flip designed by a New York designer, Tom Browne, at Galaxy Unpacked 2020.
This new innovation is coming out a year after the glitch-ridden Galaxy Fold was launched and it is branded cheaper and sizable than the former.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip brings flip phones into 2020, with a 6.7-inch display that folds in half. When closed it is a small, wallet-sized device, but when opened it is a full-fledged 6.7-inch Smartphone.
The outside of the phone features a 1.1-inch OLED display that will show notifications without needing to open the device, doubles as a viewfinder for the selfie camera, cost $1,380 and will hit stores Friday.
Samsung also unveiled three new variants of its Galaxy S Smartphone range that boast powerful cameras and fast 5G wireless connectivity.
