Erik ten Hag insists Jadon Sancho's future at Manchester United depends on the winger's actions.
United banished Sancho from the first team due to his refusal to apologise publicly for a social media post in which he accused manager Ten Hag of lying about the reasons for his exclusion against Arsenal earlier this month.
The 23-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since his side's 3-2 home win against Nottingham Forest and will remain absent from the squad due to disciplinary issues.
Asked on Friday whether Sancho could depart in the January transfer window, Ten Hag said: "It depends on him. For the rest, we are preparing for Burnley and that is our focus. He [Sancho] will not be in the squad."
United will face newly promoted Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday and are hoping to bounce back to winning ways, having lost their last three games in a row to Arsenal, Brighton and Bayern Munich, leaving Ten Hag under intense pressure to deliver.
