Sanwo-Olu arrests motorcycle riders on Lagos-Badagry Expressway

Sanwo-Olu arrests motorcycle riders on Lagos-Badagry Express

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, apprehended individuals riding motorcycles in the wrong direction (one-way) along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway as he was en route to the inauguration of the Femi Gbajabiamila Conference Centre at the Ojo campus of Lagos State University (LASU) on Tuesday.

In a video that has since gone viral, Governor Sanwo-Olu is observed alighting from his vehicle alongside his security aides to make the arrest.

The footage was shared by the governor's media aide, Wale Ajetunmobi, on his official platform, with the caption, "Governor Sanwo-Olu effecting the arrest of the offending officer."

As the individuals were being apprehended by security personnel, Governor Sanwo-Olu was heard instructing, "Put him there, let your father come and rescue you."

One of the offenders, who claimed to be a soldier, responded with, "I am a soldier, Oga sir."

In response, Sanwo-Olu remarked, "That's all the more reason I'm going to lock you up. You are telling me you are a soldier. Useless boy. You are telling me you are a soldier. Lock him up."
