The Sarkin Hausasawa of Ibadanland, Alhaji Ahmed Dahiru Zungeru, has died on Sunday night at the Age of 76.
Alhaji Zungeru, a native of Zungeru town in Kebbi State was born on June 13, 1948, and was installed as the Sarkin Hausawa Of Ibadanland in 1992.
Details of his demise is still unknown and it was gathered that he died on Sunday night in his palace at the state’s capital of Oyo State shortly after the Eid-l-Adha celebration.
He will be buried today according to Muslim rites by 2 p.m today.
According to Daily Post, one of the close associates of the deceased confirmed the death on Monday morning.
He said, “Yes. It is true. He died yesterday night around 9.pm.
“He died at the age of 76.
“He would be buried today by 2.pm according to Islamic rites.”
