Satguru Maharji Ji Cautions Against Unnecessary Concessions

Founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji has called on the Federal Government to put on hold the planned concession of the four major strong and economically vibrant airports with high potentials of yielding revenue for the government, in order to avoid enriching private pockets.

Maharaj Ji noted that privatisation and concession are languages of a society that have lost its core values.

In his words, "It is unthinkable for those given the constitutional right to manage the people's common assets to turn around and privatize/concession same and at the end of the day, the citizenry continues to sink into deeper poverty, without any value accruable to their lives. This is abuse of public trust, because the assets are not theirs in the first place."

This call was made by Satguru Maharaj Ji in a press statement through the Spokesperson of One Love Family, Ojo Mogbadewa and made available to newsmen.

According to him, the Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja and Kano airports hold the key to the country's aviation industry and for now, should not be tampered with, considering past experiences regarding the above listed national assets that went down the drain, due to executive megalomania.

"For a start, they should experiment with what I may regard as Enugu, Ibadan, Jos, Asaba, second generation airports, Maiduguri etc., to test their sincerity, honesty and patriotic zeal towards nation building and the impact such step will have on the economy.

"Considering the sad situation, we find ourselves, where people put in position of public trust have become obscenely corrupt and equally become ingenious in the perfection of their stealing propensities, we must avoid a situation where these national assets, stolen in the name of concession at the detriment of Nigeria, become money spillers to further enrich public 'stealocrats' with demeaning conscience and disregard for the ordinary man on the society where only one percent are controlling the economy with the rest ninety nine percent becoming modern day Almajiris to constitute the venomous spirit to cause disaster.

"Look at cases of Ajaokuta/Delta Steel Rolling Mills, NITEL, Nigeria Airways, NEPA, PAN Kaduna, Oku Iboku Paper Mill etc,. which were killed by corrupt public officials due to our gross incompetence to manage our affairs and dependence syndrome on Oyinbo ideas.

"We need astute managers who are in Divine Knowledge to manage the affairs of Nigeria, for us to move forward.

"Those managing our economy should either come for Divine Knowledge or get manipulated by colonial forces, because Nigerians are suffering, and the times we are passing through does not call for trial and error pseudo-managers.

"We have seen how it took years to pay the entitlements of the retired Airways staff some of who died in the queue and the fate of their families causing litigations here and there just because the right thing was not done appropriately," Maharaj Ji maintained.
