Saudi-Africa summit: President Tinubu arrives in Riyadh, set

President Bola Tinubu landed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday morning to attend the Saudi-Africa Summit on Friday, November 10.

President Tinubu will emphasise during the summit Nigeria's dedication to growing business ties and luring in more foreign direct investment, which is being bolstered by the continuing domestic economic reforms carried out by his government.

In addition, topics of discussion at the first Saudi-African Summit will include promoting cooperative efforts, strengthening cross-sectoral investment cooperation, addressing threats to regional security, improving political coordination, and facilitating economic transformation through research and the local development of new energy solutions.

The President was accompanied by Amb Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Prof Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; Wale Edun, Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance; Dr Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; and Sen. Abubakar Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.

Others include Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and Mallam Jalal Arabi, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
