Ighalo opened the scoring for Al-Hilal in the third minute to set the tone for the victory.
He turned provider in the 25th minute when he assisted Moussa Marega for the second goal to give the defending champions a comfortable first-half lead.
The former Manchester United striker had a goal ruled out for offside in the encounter.
Ighalo played a pivotal role for Al-Hilal last season, leading them to the Saudi Pro League title and also winning the top scorer award with 24 goals.
Al-Hilal will be back in league action on Wednesday against Al Feiha at the Prince Mohamed Bin Fahd Stadium.
